What Causes Heavy Brown Vaginal Discharge Long After Partial Hysterectomy?
About 13 yes ago I had a partial hysterectomy.....fibroid tumors. I gradually started having a drainage every since ,heavy enough for an ultra thin pad.It is brown in color. Should.I have a biopsy or something? I m really tired of dealing with the odor. Should I be worried?
Hi, I really appreciate your concern about the situation. As your physician, I would like to tell you that during a Partial Hysterectomy your uterus is removed but Ovaries are kept as they are. But you should not get any Foul smelling discharge after Hysterectomy. As there could be many reasons for this discharge which is causing you this much of a problem. I would highly recommend that you visit your Gynecologist for thorough checkup to Pinpoint the exact cause of this discharge, Blood work and if needed a Ultrasonography. Hope I have answered your question satisfactorily, feel free to ask any further questions. Have a nice days
Regards, Dr.Abhijeet
