Susten contains progesterone, a natural female sex hormone that is used for regulating ovulation and menstruation. It is also used to treat infertility. But like other medications this medication has some side effects of its own. It may cause heavy or prolonged bleeding during periods, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, spotting or breakthrough bleeding between periods and many more. These side effects are usually self limiting and go away over time as the body adjusts to this medication. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor immediately for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician,
