What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After Having Unsafe Sex?
Hi, I had sex with my partner a couple days ago and noticed once we had finished that the condom had broke, I didn t think much of it and left it. Couple days later I went to the ladies room and after pee n I noticed a peice of condom had come out of my vagina. Now I am bleeding really heavy, Is this a sign of a concern?
Hello there, What seems to have happened is that after having sex you had some bleeding. The piece of condom obstructed the bleeding and let it build up .Once you removed the condom piece the accumulated /backed up blood found an outlet and hence the flow was heavier. It may seem scary but is not an undue cause of worry. Observe if the bleeding decreases over the next day or 2. If it seems to decrease then most probably it was a one off-incident. But if it dosent please visit your OB-GYN and she/he would do a speculum examination to see if there is any reason for you r=to have more than heavier bleeding. Causes include cervicitis, cysts.
Hope this helps, Please feel free to ask any further questions, I will be happy to answer them,
