General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Bleeding after sex can not be neglected. It makes you loose blood and get weaker with each episode and it also suggest a serious problem like cervical cancer and must be excluded / diagnosed earliest for early diagnosis is the first step towards recovery. Please don't be stressed it can be something very simple like cervical polyp. This needs to be removed so that the problem stops. Please stop having sex till the problem is effectively managed. You have to consult a gynecologist for internal examination and other needful investigations and arrive at definitive diagnosis followed by specific treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
