What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Abdominal Cramps After Taking Utrogestan?

Hi Doctor. J went to my Gyne lst month and was prescribed by my doctor to take Ultragestan from my 5-15 days of my period (1 pill) then start taking it 2 pills at night. After I finish the medication, I think 1 week+ later I had cramps and start to bleed heavily for 2 days. On the 3rd day everything was so light and I don t even need to wear any pads/tampons ( i have a regular 5-7 days period before ultragestan) . Can someone help me? What s happening?

Hi, I think it can happen sometimes after taking ultragestan because endometrial thickness is more. So, don't worry about it. But I think progesterone should be taken only when some hormonal imbalances are there or you are trying to get pregnant. It should be taken from day 16 of your periods for 10 to 14 days . Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope I have answered your question.
