What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Hot Flashes After Depo Withdrawal?
I have been off depo since march. I got off once before and started my periods again normally with no problems. I had a regular period in september and had again around the start of november, but its was much heavier and last a week(normally is 3-4 days). It is now just one week later and heavy bleeding started again. Both times have cause me to have bad cramps, feel tired, and have nassua and heat flashes. What could cause this?
Hello, Brief..could be Ovarian cyst,Endometriosis (abnormal chocholate colour uterine tissue growth) ,hormonal disbalance Detail..first I would like to know that why had you needed depo, and under what circumstances you stopped. Since Most common cause of these symptoms can be hormonal (estrogen and progesterone) disbalance. As you are also having painfull cramps,my suggestion would be get an Ultrasound abdomen and blood estrogen and progesterone level at day 7 of period.Further you may discuss with your Gynaecologist as you may need laproscopy to rule out endometriosis. Hopefully my answer is helpfull. Dr.Maheshwari
