What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding In A Sexually Active Person?
I just need some help. Im 19 and a female. I think i might be pregnant but i think it may resulting in a miscarriage. The only symptom bright blood but heavy bleeding and its heading on five days now. But its not a period. I just know it isn t because my breasts have been getting more tender and sore as the days go on so progesterone is still being made instead of declining. But the bleeding and heaviness of it is the only sign and its consistent. When it started, it was a week before my actually period would start and i thought it was implantation bleeding until it got heavier and now im just worried. I am going to a doctor tomorrow, i just want an opinion before i go to be safe
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Vaginal bleeding in a young and sexually active person can happen commonly for the following reasons: 1. Miscarriage, as you are suspecting, if you had conceived. 2. Presence of uterine or cervical polyp. 3. Hormonal imbalance. You need to take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and consult Gynecologist promptly with the report for per speculum and clinical examination to know what could be the cause for it. Depending on the cause, it can be managed accordingly. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
