Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding With Clots Long After A Miscarriage?
I had a miscarriage 9/7 I FOLLOWED UP WITH MY OB/GYN. tHEN 11/10 i went to the hospital to heavy blood clotting and bleeding. I was told I was having a spontanious miscarriage. Now four weeks later I am bleeding heavy and passing large blood clots about the size of my hand. Is this normal? I have been going through this process naturally, no pain meds or d&c.
Hi I have read your query. It looks like there are retained products of conceptus which has come out. You need to get an Ultrasound done to make sure there are no retained products inside. If present it means that there was an incomplete abortion. It needs to be removed either medically or surgically by vacuum aspiration and curettage. If not treated it can cause infection. Please consult your doctor for further evaluation. Thanks for HCM.
Regards.
