What Causes High B12 Level Of 1500?

I am pernicious anemic. I receive B12 injection 1 X monthly at my doctors office. I have been getting them now for 7 years. Tuesday was the first time it burned fir hours . Labs were also taken from my port. I got my results back today and my B12 was over 1500. Is it possible they accidently injected into vein?

Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that whenever you take treatment of B12 It is always necessary to take the folic acid along with that. I also suggest you to do repeat lab investigation for CBC and Serum Vit B12. I suspect in your case that you have reached at the toxicity level of Vit B12. It may be possible that you have received excessive treatment. Also it may be possible that they have injected it in the vein. If you have anything else to ask please contact me. Thanx. Dr. Arun Tank
