What Causes High ESR And MCV In Blood Test Results And Anything To Worry?
Hi my Hubby just got his blood test report and his ESR indication pretty high n same goes with his MCV , what will happen? His reading for ESR is 15 which standard should be at 0-10 ; and his MCVis at 99 which standard suppose to be 76-96 . Will this show any risk ?
From the results provided there is no need for worry.
ESR and Mean corpuscular Volume (MCV) results alone are insufficient to arrive at diagnosis. ESR indicates presence of inflammation but is not specific, MCV may be elevated in anemia.
Along with the clinical findings and other lab investigations it is possible to diagnose ailment your husband may be suffering from.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
