my blood sugar level in the morning is very high while in the evening after a brisk walk of 4 kilometer and resting for half an hour, when i check it comes to 110-120. i am taking a pill which contain pioglitazone 15 mg+METFORMIN500 mg at breakfast. please let me know why in the morning it is too hight
You have not specified the Fasting levels which would have make it more clear idea about your glucose control, I would also advice you to check Postprandial blood sugar and HbA1C levels as well.
In Diabetes, High fasting blood sugar level can be caused because of Production of Glucose from Liver and Insulin Resistance.
Both the drug in prescribed combination should be continued and I would advice to increase the Dose of Metformine from 500.
You can have additional 500 mg of metformin at night for better glycemic control.
