What Causes High Fever Along With Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea?
2days prior: i had fever of 103 fahrenheit with body malaise and headache along with crampy abdominal pain and diarrhea. Considering regular food posioning i took 2 cefixime 200mg tabs and 2 metronidazole 400mg tabs BID following meals. And paracetamol 500mg every 6h for fever , body malaise along with ORS for diarrhea. By night symptoms were allevated except without any improvment in diarrhea. 1day prior: after waking up, i felt malaise and fever subsided with little crampy abdominal pain. For lunch i had regular meal and all the symptoms started all over again. So i continued paracetamol 500mg q6 and cefixime 200mg BID along with ORS but it did not help to subside diarrhea. Today morning: fever subsided with little body malaise and diarrhea persistent. Doubting my condition might be typhoid, gave my blood sample in a private lab. Results was S.typhi(+) so i continued paracep and ORS along with apples little bread.Even though temperature was normal i thought of continuing antibiotic Today evening: i ve called a local midwife took a ceftriaxone shot IV 500mg and 1dose of ampicillin 250mg capsule and 200mg lactobacillus. Fever, body pains and diarrhea subsided. At this point how many ceftriaxone shots should i continue? since after taking the shot and meds i started feeling little pain in my neck no stiffness though. Im planing to continue ampicillin q6 for 3weeks. What will be your suggestion.
