What Causes High Fever Along With Coughing Up Of Blood?

Hi, my uncle lives in Trinidad and Tobago...he fell ill on Sunday night...he couldn t walk, he had a high fever, and when he coughed there was blood...his platelets were 62 2 days ago, they are now 32...so far they have him on drips and they just did blood work, which he won t get back until tomorrow...he said he feels better, but something must be going on since his eyes are yellow and his platelets are so low...please help....I am extremely concerned

Hello Dear. You need to get him tested for dengue. In dengue fever there will be drop in platelets which will cause increased bleeding and blood in cough. Get him admitted in the hospital.
