What Causes High Fever Along With Shortness Of Breath And Dizziness?

Temp for 10 days. Temp spikes up to 103 and stayed 102 for several days. Now just spikes to 101. Have shortness of breath and lightheaded. Went to ready care. White count 10,2000 and blood pressure 90/62. Are doing a D-Dimer test but have to wait until tomorrow for results. Had foot surgery on Tuesday and symptoms started the following Monday. Not sure what to do.

This could be a chest infection, pulmonary embolism, or otherwise.
A chest X ray is a quick and simple way for preliminary assessment of the chest condition.
I'd recommend empirical antibiotic and supportive treatment (anti-pyretic, fluids,..) until D-Dimer result is ready.

If the D-Dimer suggested pulmonary embolism you will need further assessment of its extent. Treatment plan should be discussed with a specialized chest doctor.
