What Causes High Fever, Constant Headache, Muscle Pain And Dry Mouth?

Hi. I am a 27yo female and have for the past 5 days had a high fever of 39.5c, constant headache, pain in my mucles, not been able to eat at all and really dry mouth Even when i drink close to 2liter of fluid daily. The last couple of days i have begun to hear constant buzzing noise in both ear with No pain, and being dizzy from time to time. Is this more then Just a bad cold?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of high fever, constant headache, muscle pain and dry mouth which is because of streptococcal infection leading to strep throat. It is leading to granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry much. I would advise you to take few preventive measures such as do warm saline gargles on daily basis 3- 4 times a day. Visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Go for blood tests along with that get chest x-ray done. You should go for sputum test as well. You should drink plenty of fluids. Take supplements rich in vitamin B12 to booster immunity. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take proper antibiotic course such as Levofloxacin for 5-7 days. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well.
