What Causes High Fever In A Toddler?

what could cause a normal healthy 3yr old male run a fever(104)? He does not have cold or flu systems. no cough. plays and eating well. will tell parents he does not feel good, take medicine for fever and rest. Then back playing. also, no rash or swollen glands

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

There are many causes of high grade fever in toddler.
Common causes are malaria, viral infection & respiratory tract infection.

He should go for complete blood count with malaria parasite test, urine examination and CRP (c reactive protein) test.

These will give you exact idea about cause.Then he should take treatment accordingly.

Till that paracetamol can be given to control the fever as and when required.

Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
