I had the hives last year and took medication. I stll have some itching on my arms. I have been taking a benedryl in the evening and using a calming lotion. Could I be lacking something in my diet. I am 75, 5'5

Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Charu , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.

It seems that you have been suffering from urticaria. It is an allergic condition of skin due to recent infection, medications, seasonal change, pollens, food etc.

I will advise you following tests:
1) hemoglobin levels
2) Total leucocyte count
3) absolute eosinophil count
4) thyroid profile

Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion.
Good Luck.
