General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms you are experiencing is likely to be Bells palsy rather than an allergic reaction.

Bells palsy is commonly caused by viral infection (including herpes virus) affecting facial nerve.

Early initiation of treatment with anti virals and corticosteroids are important for fast recovery. So please be advised to follow up with your primary provider at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.i
