What Causes Hot Flushes In Face Post Cortisone Shot?

Thank you, yes I do have a question. I received a cortisone shot yesterday in my shoulder. I have a torn tendon and bursitis and trying to postpone surgery. About 4 hours ago, I began facial flushing and it has not gone away. Is this a normal reaction or should I be concerned and call my doctor? My email is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you. Pat

Understand your concern
Do not worry it is normal reaction after cortisone injection.

Cortisone is steroid injecti, on and used to reduce the inflammation due to rupture tendon and bursitis.
Following are the side effects of cortisone shot:
Dizziness
Palpitation
Disturbance in sleep
Hot flash, increased sweating, night sweat
Mood swings
All this symptoms get disappear with in 48-72 hours

Other side effect may be
Bruise, thinning of skin and whitening of skin at injection site.
Weight gain also seen
