What Causes Increased Arthritis Pain Post Intake Of Clindamycin?

I m on clindamycin hcl 300 mg 3x day. After I take it ...maybe 2hours I get a really bad taste in my mouth...mold and metal taste. Is this a known side effect or should I report this. Also I get headaches and arthritis pain seems worse since I started the medicine...shoulders and knees mainly. I have reactions to lots of meds and tend to be concerned when starting something I have never had before.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to clindamycin. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult a rheumatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
