What Causes Indicated Lesions On The Pancreas And Liver?

My brother recently had a CAT scan of his liver, pancreas, lungs and prostrate at a respected local Providence, RI, hospital. Some of the results, I was told, indicated lesions on his pancreas & liver, with his lungs flat on bottom/each lobe; his prostrate numbers were slightly elevated. Also informed by his doctor that his liver looked irritated . He has since been scheduled for a liver biopsy 6/18 and PET scan 6/20. Can CAT scans show inaccurate results?

Hi and welcome to HCM
Well, I am not sure what liver irritation means exactly but I suppose this is fibrosis or cirrhosis and in this case this is caused by alcohol, fatty liver or hepatitis. It means that you should check viral markers, and reduce alcohol intake and avoid hepatotoxic mediactions.
Wish you good health. Regards
