What Causes Insomnia, Delusions And Depression Despite Intake Of Effexor And Seroquel?

I suffer from bipolar II for more than 20 years. I ve also been suffering hallucinations (visual and auditory) for over a year now and all my dr does is refill the scripts she s been giving me for two years. I currently take effexor 75mg, seroquel 800mg, trazadone 400mg, propanolol 60mg and tegritol 1000mg per day. I still suffer insomnia, delusions, depression, and of course the hallucinations which seem to be worsening every day. I ve lost my job because of the severity of my symptoms and have relatively no feelings for anything anymore. What is wrong with me? How can I find relief? Sidenote: I am three years clean and sober.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
You need an evaluation of your brain. It is unusual for these symptoms to start up all of a sudden especially with the medications that you are on. I suggest that you ask for an MRI of your brain and referral to a psychiatrist for further evaluation and treatment.
Regards
