Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a full period on 1/22 and then again on 2/7. I started very light spotting on 3/7 and it has continued ever since that day. I have not had any pain like I usually do with my period. I assume it is possible, at age 43, that this may be the start of menopause?
Hi, I think it can be happening due to menopause. But you should rule out any other cause. Get yourself examined by a gynecologist to rule out infections. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. These will tell you if any other abnormality is there. You can take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding.
