What Causes Intermittent Electric Shock And Tingling Sensations In Head?
There was a lump on my forehead above my eyebrow near the side of the head. I did the dumb thing of messing with it and with my nail I pressed on it. This triggered some nerves in my brain; I felt electric shocks up the side of my brain. Now, the minor electric shocks come and go constantly. I have tingling and numb feeling in my head always. There is a bruise where I pressed the lump.
Tingling & numbness in the head may be indicative of developing malignant or non-malignant brain tumor. Other medical conditions can be hypertension, stroke, DM or autoimmune disorders, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get blood tests, neurological exams, nerve conduction studies and electromyography, MRI, CT scan & nerve biopsy done at the earliest. Your treatment will depend on the clinical condition & reports of the investigations obtained.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
