What Causes Intermittent Non-painful Sinking Sensation In Chest Near Heart?
I have an intermittent non-painful sinking sensation in my chest near my heart. I am a nurse. this started yesterday. I am 53, nonsmoker, moderate drinker. 2 glasses wine per night. 5'5", 120 lbs. I wear a combi-patch (estrogen), occasional ibuprofen use.

1. Ecg
2. 2d echo
3. Holter monitoring (24 hour continuous monitoring of ecg) to rule out arrhythmia.
If all are normal then no need to worry for cardiac disease.
Anxiety can also cause similar symptoms.
