What Causes Intermittent Pain In Jaw And Cheek Along With Running Nose?

Right cheek bone and jaw pain and muscle spasm which comes and goes, runny nose and small crusty bump in nose..about 2 months. Previous history of TMJ. Pain in cheek bone and muscle spasm seems to occur with different postures but worried about the runny nose and bump...no bleeding or blockage. I can breath ok. I do not smoke or work around chemicals but do worry about nasal tumour. Dentist suggested inflammation of gums on that side and prescribed anti inflammatory but cannot take it because I have past history of gastritis.

You have jaw pain with muscle spasm and running nose also.In myofunctional pain dysfunction syndrom pain at tmj area,clicking sound at tmj region , muscle tenderness are present.

Your cheif complain is running nose and swelling gums at this region.That because of maxillary sinusitis may be. Chronic case of maxillary sinusiti may lead to polyp at nose area and may gum inflammation.so sinusitis may ruled out.

In nasal polyp can lead to running nose and other symptoms.
Antihistamine drugs are given for runnig nose .
If any tumor at nasal region than cotact to ENT doctor for further treatment.

After taking antiinflamatory drugs you have problem of gastritis than you can take antacids for relief.
