What Causes Intermittent Tingling Sensation Around The Genitals?
Hi, i had unprotected sex just 3 days ago. I have had an intermittent tingling and strange feeling in and around my genital area. I have also been very nauseous lately. I m a woman. Do you know if this could be a associated with pregnancy? Or is it likely it s an std? Does herpes have any of these symptoms?
1. You are saying to have unprotected sex 3 days ago. It is too early to say that your actual symptoms are related to pregnancy.
2. With regards to STDs, can you please tell if you are also having discharge from your vagina? Still it is early to say that it is related to STDs or even to herpes.
3. The tingling and strange feeling in and around your genital area might be due to: - non-STDs vaginal infection - local injury especially if you had hard/dry sex - less common might be related to peripheral arteries disease or neuropathy.
If such feeling won't subside in a few days, you should schedule an appointment with your OG specialist and run further diagnostic tests for proper diagnosis and treatment.
All the best! Dr.Albana
