Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently went to the er where a ct scan was performed. The quick diagnosis was interstitial pneumonitis. Since this happened two weeks ago, I.ve had shortness of breath after mile exertion, low energy and a mild warm headachy feeling in the forehead area. Sometimes there s a warm burn in the center of my chest. I ve had this feeling before as I suffer from SVT most likely caused by a secondary electrical node in the heart.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Interstitial pneumonitis is caused by longtime irritation & inflammation to certain substances like asbestos/allergens. Certain autoimmune diseases can cause it. This results in fibrosis of lung tissue & reduction in respiratory capacity producing the symptoms you have. Sufficient suitable antibiotic treatment followed by physiotherapy & prevention of infection by an ideal lifestyle can help.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
