Noted your history of gastrointestinal issues, recent colonoscopy shows erythema and congestion in the entire colon and hence biopsied, showed as granuloma, prompted GI to prescribe you Pentasa and ordered antibody test, blood work was normal, wants to know whether this Crohns or other condition... Since biopsy was done, the Histopathologist must have told us about whether this was the non-specific granuloma or was due to tuberculosis or Crohns so that the treatment would have been specific, although it is possible that many of the granulomas which do not have definite diagnosis can be very well treated with oral Steroids and so. Also have clinical examination and other tests of X-ray of the chest, CT scan of the whole abdomen, blood tests specific about the clinical cause.
