Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
I will go one by one as per your symptom and suggest a possible explanation and a solution
1, dry cough- this is possibly due to the intake of the medicine Capoten- this is basically a
captopril and is very regularly known to cause dry cough. changing it to another medicine like
olmesartan may reduce the cough or cure it all together.
2. increased urination- you are on the tablet lasilactone. this is a
diuretic and therefore an increased volume and frequency of urination is expected.
3. irregular heart beat- both the above drugs retain potassium in the body. now an increased potassium levels in the body is known to cause arrhythmias espeacially
bradycardia. it may be a good idea to check potassium levels specifically and
kidney function in general tested in view of the mentioned possibility
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further. Best of luck.
