OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

If you are using Implanon for 2 years now, and all of a sudden you are experiencing irregular bleeding at the age of 50, I would advise you to get a check up done to rule out other causes of bleeding. Pain in abdomen is side effect of Implanon in few women, but as it is associated with bleeding meeting you family physician is advisable.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rishma Lakhani, OB & GYN Specialist
