I had my last period 1-6 march normal flow and 27-29 march I experienced some spotting, mostly light pink, the 2 Nd day 3 wipes were bright red, didn t need any pads for those 3 days as it was only when I went to the toilet, during that time I had slight cramps on the right side near pelvis and bellow my belly button (normally when I have my periods I have very painful cramps for the 1st 2 days) I did a home pregnancy test and had came back neg. I have no symptons though. I still have some pains in those said areas, Could it have been just a period or something else. If you could help me out with some advice that would be very appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

Your symptoms may be indicative of minor factors like indigestion, constipation, gastritis, and pregnancy. You can take antacids or PPIs to get rid of the symptoms. Take fiber rich food. Avoid constipation, take laxatives. Wait for a couple of days, if symptoms persist get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get USG (Uterus and Fallopian) tube done to detect ectopic pregnancy or pregnancy.

Some medical conditions having similar symptoms are gallstones, appendicitis, or pancreatitis. Pain at the navel can range from mild to sharp pain. Get examined by a GP, get required blood tests and imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected and the severity of the symptoms.

You are advised to take high protein diet, homemade food rich in iron, magnesium, minerals or you can take supplements. Hormonal imbalance, being underweight, anemia and poor general health condition can cause similar symptoms. Improve your general health condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
