What Causes Irritation On The Tip Of Tongue?

Several weeks ago my doctor doubled the strength of my nifedipine from 30 mg to 60 mg. It wasn't long after that, that I started to get an irritation on the tip of my tongue, both on top and underneath. Could this be a result of doubling the strength of my meds?
