What Causes Itching In Restricted Areas With Tiny Vacuoles?

Hello,
I have unilateral itching and I am finding myself scratching with pet bottle caps, pistassio shell, scissor edge, anything to just scratch. Then I apply benadryl gel and I get relief for some hours. sometimes, after the gel dries, again i get itching. It itch is restricted to my left leg, from behind the knee right to the dorsum of the foot, not the whole area at a time, but some areas at a time, varies at no specific pattern. Vigorous scratching sometimes leads to formation of small, tiny fluid filled vacuoles, which burst on scratching later on. This current episode has been ongoing for 2 weeks now. I have no itching anywhere else on my person or any rashes at all.

I have noted that I have episodes of itching in restricted areas in no specific pattern occasionally, maybe once in 3 months, again there is no specific pattern, it is just a general conclusion. I am overwgt at 90 kgs and have pcod (pcos), but i am noncomplaint with glyciphage, which has been rx for pcod.

I have slight edema too at the ankle due to the scratching. Today, I even felt pulsations in the calf of my affected leg, leading to a suspicion of DVT, which I dont have, just a doubt.
Regards
Mrs. GB
