Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Itching In The Hands Along With Tinnitus?
Suddenly, and until recently rarely, I will develope an itch on my hands, tinnitus begins, over a half hour hives break out, I get sudden stomach cramps and diaper rip, and come close to passing out if I don t take Benadryl. After about 2 hours it clears up and the itchy spots will have been scratched to the point of bleeding.
Tinnitus is not a disease in itself but it is a symptom that indicates that there is some underlying illness. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Audiometry, X-ray, MRI can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. In case if ringing does not resolve then you can be advised medicines like Tricyclic Anti-depressant like Amitryptiline, anti anxiety medication like Alprazolam, as well as Multivitamin supplements can be advised.
Wish you good health.
Hope this information helps.
