What Causes Itching Sensation After Having Clindamycin For Acne Cyst?

I m on an antibiotic called Clindamycin. I take 900 mg of it a day and I m supposed to take it for 10 days against an acne cyst (I m on day 6 now). Ever since the first day of Clindamycin I felt itchy down there. I ve been thinking I got a yeast but yesterday I experienced bright red blood discharge. I ve been bleeding all day (still bright red). My period is not due to another 2 weeks. This doesn t smell or look like a period but could it still be it? It s accompanied by some stomach pain as well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Oral antibiotics can result in vaginal yeast infections in some women because of a change in vaginal flora.
The bleeding may be early onset period.

Change in the menstrual cycle can occur as a result of illness or medication so this may be reason that it is early.

I hope this helps
