Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son who is three years old has small bumps that look like they are under the skin spreading all over his body. They started out on his face and wrists and have since moved downward. The bumps are not red but skin colored and itchy. My son has a cough and runny nose but no fever. The inside of his hands are peeling as well. What could this be?
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. This may be due to urticaria which occurs due to some kind of allergen. You should give him anti histamine like levo cetrizine under doctor's supervision. Steroid can also be given in severe cases which can be used locally or orally. Peeling of skin of is also due to allergic reaction mostly due to dust. It can be managed with application of steroidal cream like betamethason in palms. Please consult a dermatologist for this treatment. Hope this will be helpful. Thanks for your question. Take care.
