What Causes Itchy Bumps On The Body?

I have bumps on the back of my neck, forearms right , and left leg below the knee, carve.back of my hands, both hands, beside the thumbs.this has been since Friday. Itchy. I have new sheets Andrew pillow cases used unwashed, I have since washed them. New bumps , appear daily. They are usually arrange longitudinally, an inch apart 2-4 at a time. This is what worries me to be shingle. Can t see the dermatologist until monday. I have zostervax in 2012 October. Thanks for any info you may think it most likely is.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy bumps on the body which is a common skin condition in which hair follicles become inflamed and mainly due to bacterial/fungal infection and could be due to heat, sweat and contact dermatitis.

I would suggest you to keep that area dry, wear loose clothes. You should apply moist cloth compress and apply soothing lotions such as Calamine. Take diet rich in fluids. You should gently wash the infected skin twice a day with antibacterial soap. Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antifungal medicine.
