What Causes Itchy Hands After Taking Amoxicillin For Earache And Sore Throat?

I went to the doctor s last night for an earache and sore throat and he prescribed Amoxicillin. I took the 500 mg, as prescribed last night and just woke up with extreme itchy hands. I ve taken amoxicilian many times before and never had a side effect. Am I now allergic?
