Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have to welts on my arm that look like a misquote bite. They are about 3 inches apart and started itching at the same time. Of course I scratched nit knowing what it was. The itching died down last night. Did not really focus on it today but this evening it s back again. The welts feel like they have little puschules on them but they look clear. I don t know what bit me if anything. Thanks Colleen YYYY@YYYY
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on the arm which seems to be due to seborrheic dermatitis and hair folliculitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test, allergy test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with anti inflammatory , corticosteroid ointment. For now apply cold compresses and do not apply any cosmetic product and protect your skin from direct sunlight. Wear loose cotton shirts.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
