What Causes Itchy Throat Along With Productive Cough?

hi, i have a question.. i am experiencing a cough when the left side or right side of my throat starting to feel itchy.. there is a small part in my throat that feels like pinching and when that happens i started coughing and i got phlegm even though i dont have a cold cough..i wonder what does this mean? how can i cure this? thank you.

Hi..I think you are having persistent postnasal drip which is causing irritation in the throat.. We have to exclude chronic sinusitis and rhinitis before starting treatment..Avoid exposure to dust and smoke..Antihistaminics like cetrizine or levocetrizine help to reduce symptoms.
