What Causes Joint Pain And Stiffness In Joints After Affected By Chickengunya?
i am divya, my mother bhagavathy age 45 got a sever joint pain for nearly 1.5 years after getting affected to chicgungunia disease........now a days her hand veins are getting bulged like air sacks......she got severe pain their........if she didnt work for few hours her fingers would get stiffed.......what is the actual problem? she consulted many doctors but they cant find solution for that
It looks that your mother is suffering from post chickenguinya arthropathy. In such she should do following to have relief: - Start doing range of motion exercises of every joint for at least 3 times a day. This will maintain the mobility of joints and prevent further stiffness. - Take a sustained release formulation of an anti inflammatory agent like Aceclofenac. - There are some medicines which are known as DMARD. Your doctor can choose one of the medicines like hydroxychloroquine to give relief.
