What Causes Joint Pain In The Right Hip After Urination In The Morning?

Hi, I m a 35 year old male in good health. Lately (last week or so) I ve been experiencing sharp joint pain in my right hip, especially after urination in the morning. It only lasts a minute or two, sometimes only seconds. Should I be worried? Prostate cancer spreading to my hip is my nightmare scenario.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is unlikely to have spreading prostate cancer at 35 years of age, so I would recommend you to not worry about this.
I think very likely the pain you describe is muscular in nature. I would advise you to take ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hours after food.
If the pain is the same in another week or there is any worsening you will need to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
