What Causes Joints Pain In The Neck And Shoulders Along With Dizziness?

I recently was diagnosed with pericarditis. After numerous tests, heart cath included, I was told it could be a virus. Shortly after that, I had an upper respiratory infection which lead to a fluid build up in my ears. I was prescribed Augmentin and it seemed to clear up. I am almost 60 years of age and have some arthritis I m sure. I just feel there is an inflammation problem going on with me. My joints hurt especially in my neck and shoulders which leads to some dizziness and overall feeling something isn t right. I hate to run to a doctor for everything. Any help?

hi sir,your symptoms go in favour of cervical spondylosis, to put in simple terms,arthritis of cervical vertebral joints that leads to the compression of spinal nerves causing pain in neck and shoulders.cervical spondylosis can sometimes compress vascular supply to brain and can cause dizziness.the first and foremost step in treatment is rest.then after pain relief go for some neck and spine exercises.you can take paracetamol and tramadol combination for pain relief.if you want to confirm the diagnosis,you can go for MRI cervical spine.take care.bye.
