General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Happy to hear your blood sugar is under control. The symptoms you present could be caused by many medical conditions most of which are metabolic and neurologic with infectious causes being less likely.Possible causes include:
-Poorly controlled blood sugar but less likely in your case.
-Ionic problems like low magnesium and low calcium
-Deficiency in some vitamins
-Hormone imbalances
-Neurologic problems like MS
-Side effects of medications
-Liver and kidney diseases
There are just so many possible causes and symptomatic treatment alone might not be the best. You will need to be reevaluated by the Doctor with some laboratory investigations like Full blood count, serum electrolytes, liver and kidney function tests, vitamin levels and hormonal work-ups if need be.In the mean time, the following may help you
-Follow your diet as prescribed by the nutritionist.
-Eat enough green vegetables
-Exercise regularly
-Avoid smoking and alcohol
-Pain medical can be prescribed by your Doctor depending on the intensity of the pains/nerve pains.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
