What Causes Knee Pain And High Uric Acid Levels?

Hi Dr Chowhan,

I am Ashutosh Kumar I have a query regarding my mother she is around 48 years of age.
She got her gall bladder removed due to stone. During those times she had Thyroid problems and her legs would swell due to that. Now after 4-5 years of operation, although the Thyroid problem was intermittent, she has got several other complications. Doctors say that her uric acid level has risen. Currently she is feeling severe pain in her knees and finds difficult to walk or climb the stairs and all.
Her bones are also weak.
I wished to know the following things from you:

1) If you could suggest what all vegetables she can eat. I mean what all things she can eat. Like specifically what all vegetables or fruits, juices or anything. Lot of doctors has said don't eat pulses etc. But they did not suggest what all things she can eat.
2)What is the diagnosis for this problem.
3) What all precautions and exercises etc she can do to keep her bones and joints etc healthy.
