What Causes Lack Of Heartbeat In Fetus During Pregnancy?

Hi i am 56 days pregnant[my age 28 and first pregnancy]. I had my vaginal ultrasound 1 week back and no heartbeat of baby was found i once again had my ultrasound yesterday and still no heartbeat was found and the follicle sac is 3 times bigger than the normal size. What is the reason for this. Will this lead to .........? Please advise on this

Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. Normally on trans vaginal scan heartbeat is picked at 6 weeks ,and that is assuring sign of alive fetus .But in your case its already 8 weeks ,you should get fetal heart sound by now.With heavy heart i have to say this, it usually happens when fetus have some chromosomal abnormality and it may lead to miscarriage.If you have any other queries/question please feel free to ask.
