What Causes Large Circle Shaped Rash On The Bicep?

I have a rash on my left bicep on the inside of my arm. It s a large circle shape. I was told is ring worm. I ve been using an anti fungal for almost 3 months with no change. It doesn t itch my husband hasn t contracted it any idea what it could be besides ring worm?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of large circle shaped rash on the bicep , well this is very common problem and mainly due to hormonal changes , stress , systemic conditions, poor immunity of body, oily skin and excessive exposure to sun. I would suggest you to wash your face with face wash containing benzoyl peroxide then apply cream containing azelaic acid which is safe and very effective. Exfoliate your skin with non comedogenic exfoliant once a week to remove dead skin. Apply vitamin E before going to bed to fine texture of skin. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment . Doctor may prescribe tretinoin ointment and antibiotic like clindamycin. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables also drink plenty of water. Protect your skin from direct sun exposure .
