What Causes Large Colorless Indentation On Arm?

About 8 months ago, I noticed an indentation on my arm that looks like a large chicken pox scar (which it isn t). It is colorless, about the size of a pencil eraser. It doesn t hurt but it looks like it is getting a little larger. I see NOTHING about anything but 3 dimentional moles, shiny red moles, white, crusty moles, discolored patches that have odd boarders but nothing about this. Can you shed some light on it? Thank you

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have large colorless indentation on arm . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sunburn or another kind of burn , infections , lupus erythematosus and dermatomyositis , allergy or hormonal changes . I would suggest you to keep that area clean and dry , do not apply any cosmetic , take benadryl twice a day , prevent it fron sun exposure and apply petroleum jelly . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , skin patch test and allergy test . In some cases doctor may also order skin biopsy to rule out skin cancer like condition , which is rare . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressnats , corticosteroid ointment or retinoid along with vitamin C for quick healing and antibiotics .
