What Causes Left-sided Abdominal Pain With A History Of Kidney Stones?

I am having relatively sharp pain in my left side. I have a history of kidney stones but mostly have had issues with the right side. The pain is similar to that to where I have some pain in my back as well. I know your gall bladder is also on the left side so that was a thought as well. Should I ride it out til morning and get into my urologist?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you have history of kidney stones, pain abdomen may be due to it. However, other medical conditions that may cause such symptoms are gastritis, indigestion, hernia (in men) & PID (in women). You can take antacids, PPI's or spasmol for relieve. Take food in proper time. Avoid oily, junk or frozen food. Stay away from addictions if any. You are suggested to get clinically examined & treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
